The Gretsch Catalina Catalina Club CT1-R444 is a high-quality processed set in a massive rock format, for club gigs or the rehearsal room. The Catalina Club CT1-R444 drum kit radiates absolute Vintage charm without sacrificing modern features and above all contemporary sound. Equipped with Remo skins and the new Gretsch hardware, it develops a modern sound character with a sophisticated retro touch. The mahogany boilers with 30° burr sound warm and create a projection-rich sound with plenty of low bass and a round frequency mix. 2016 renews Gretsch the colour palette and offers new, exceptional finishes for the Catalina Club series.
Classical sound with modern elements
The 7-layer mahogany kettles of the Gretsch Catalina Club CT1-R444 with the typical 30° kettle burr sound wonderfully reflected and harmonious. The dark basic character of the Gretsch Formula Mahogany is complemented with the matching overtones and a warm, deep sound is created, characterized by attack and dynamics. The triple-flanged tensioning tires on Snare and in the toms guarantee the necessary tuning security and a defined tone.
Typical Gretsch boiler hardware
The Mini GTS Tom suspension has contact with the boiler at only two points, which results in maximum and undamped vibration behaviour of the high-quality mahogany boilers. The included tom holder is attached to the cymbal stand with a multi-clip, because the large 24"x14" bass drum is undrilled for even more attack. The Gretsch Catalina Catalina Club CT1-R444 is factory equipped with Remo Ambassador heads, which guarantee a safe and long-lasting sound right from the start.
