Guild D-240E

Electro acoustic guitar, dreadnought, solid Sitka-spruce top, laminated mahogany body, pickup system, matte finish.

With the Guild D-240E, the U.S. traditional manufacturer presents a traditional dreadnought Western guitar from its affordable Westerly series, which, in addition to a powerful sound, has high-quality materials and a timeless look. Thanks to a solid Sitka spruce top with Scalloped-X bracing, the instrument produces a powerful sound that is enriched with the warm bass frequencies of the laminated mahogany body. For comfortable playability, a flat mahogany neck with Slim-C profile and a Pau Ferro fingerboard with a nut width of 43 mm provide enough space in all 20 frets so that even complex fingering patterns can be easily mastered. The interaction of a compensated bridge inlay and a saddle made of bone also ensures clean intonation over the entire scale length of 648 mm, so that even the high registers can unfold their full potential. For amplified use, the manufacturer installs a Fishman Sonitone pickup system, which has a control unit in the soundhole and also allows the natural sound of the Dreadnought to be amplified. Visually, the guitar convinces with classic simplicity, which is only rounded off with discreet decorations. Chrome-plated open-gear tuners with a 16:1 transmission ratio also allow the six steel strings to be played precisely.
