Furthermore, the amplifier is equipped with two PRS TCI humbuckers and extended circuitry with two separate EQ mini-switches for tonal variety.
The PRS Custom 24-08 combines fine woods and flawless workmanship to create an outstanding electric guitar with versatile sounds.
The neck with Pattern Thin profile offers absolute playing comfort and is resonantly glued to the body.
Classic tonewoods for the PRS Custom 24-08
For the construction of the PRS Custom 24-08, Paul Reed Smith uses exquisite woods with the best resonance characteristics, which are flawlessly crafted into a unique electric guitar. The body is made of solid mahogany, while the solid maple top provides classic resonance characteristics. In addition, the 'Pattern Thin' mahogany neck is attached to the body via a solid glue joint with a flat neck heel. This combination gives the electric guitar a lively, brilliant primary tone.
Six PRS Phase III locking tuners offer quick and easy string changes thanks to the locking function.
"Pattern Thin" profile for perfect playing comfort
When constructing the PRS 24-08, PRS Guitars also attaches great importance to perfect playing comfort. Accordingly, the neck has the comfortable " Pattern Thin" profile, which corresponds to a modern "C" shape with a thickness of just 21 mm below the first fret and nestles into the hand with its perfect curves. With a nut width of 42.86 mm, the rosewood fingerboard also offers sufficient space for a clean fingering, with the familiar PRS Bird inlays providing the best orientation between the 24 frets.
Bird inlays in the fretboard and the classic headstock signature add a strong PRS charm.
PRS Hardware in a chic nickel finish
The PRS Custom 24-08 Black features high-quality hardware with a classic nickel finish that blends harmoniously into the elegant design. The proven PRS Gen III tremolo system is used as the bridge on the body, which impresses with its smooth handling and allows melodies and chords to be embellished with gently shimmering modulations. With its smooth surface, it also offers the picking hand a comfortable support surface for certain playing techniques. With the classic PRS scale length of exactly 25" (635 mm), the strings run from the bridge towards the headstock, where they are guided with a straight pull to the PRS Phase III Locking tuners. Thanks to their semi-open bodies and low weight, they skillfully counteract top-heaviness and at the same time convince with absolute tuning precision and easy string changes.
In-house PRS TCI humbuckers deliver the right sound for almost any style of music.
PRS Custom 24-08: Versatile sound thanks to dual EQ circuitry
On the amplifier, the Paul Reed SmithCustom 24-08 impresses with its versatile sound that delivers the right timbre for every style of music. Two PRS TCI humbuckers in the neck and bridge position are responsible for the electrical sound conversion. The term 'TCI' stands for Tuned Capacitance and Inductance and describes the process that perfectly optimizes both pickups in terms of capacitance and inductance for their respective positions. As a result, both pickups produce a particularly clear sound with extended bass and treble, providing the perfect basis for classic and modern playing styles. Each humbucker also has an EQ mini-switch that activates an EQ specially tuned to the respective pickup. Furthermore, a 3-way blade switch as well as master volume and master tone controls are available.
