If you're starting out with drumming and received cheap/no brand cymbals I would recommend the Paiste PST7s. My son had very bad quality 'no brand hi-hats' with a half decent entry level drum kit (Mapex Tornado) so I bought him these and the difference is absolutely huge.
If you've bought cheap drums and you think they are going to stick around you could do a lot worse than immediately buy decent hi-hats. Good Luck B
