Peavey 6505 II Head head for electric guitar at a glance:
The Peavey 6505 II head marks the new Generation of the legendary 6505 high-gain amp, which was first released in 1992 and became a popular amplifier in the hard rock and metal scene with its unrestrained sound! In addition to the usual gain reserves, the 6505 II delivers some new features that allow more flexibility to customize your own sound. The amp comes with a maximum output of 120 watts and draws its power from six 12AX7 tubes in the preamp stage and four 6L6GC power amp tubes, while two channels can be used to create a variety of sounds ranging from clear cleans to crunch and aggressive high gain. The highlight of the 6505 II are two separate 3-band EQ sections that can be adjusted individually for both channels - on top of this, both channels have been given pre-and post-gain control, while the rhythm and lead sections each have a resonance and presence control to adjust the sound character even more precisely. This means that not only classic "metal tubs" can be created in terms of sound - sharp nuances and articulating accents can also be integrated into the overall sound. Furthermore, the Peavey 6505 II Head has an effects loop to integrate pedalboards smoothly as well as speaker outputs for selectable 4, 8 and 16 ohms. Both channels can also be switched via the supplied footswitch. The Peavey 6505 II comes matching with the usual high-gain power of its predecessor, but delivers great new features that provide tonal flexibility and turn the amp into a true metal monster!
With two channels and versatile sound options, the Peavey 6505 II Head delivers everything you need to achieve crunchy crunch or a full load of high-gain.
