The Sandberg California Supreme 5 Redburst Quilted Maple Top #42070 5-String E-Bass combines all the experience that the creative Braunschweiger and Master-Mind Holger Stonjek have gathered in their company history in a noble bass that gets to the point. First-class tonewoods in the form of an alder body with resonance chambers, a beautiful quilted maple top and a neck made of roasted Norwegian maple form the basis for the first-class tone, which is transmitted to the bass amplifier by Delano Xtender pickups and active 3-band tone control. naturally completes the typical SandbergHardware in the form of the three-dimensionally adjustable Bridge 5 and lightweight Sandberg Machine Heads the California Supreme 5 Redburst Quilted Maple Top by Sandberg.
The Sandberg California Supreme 5 Redburst Quilted Maple Top #42070 is a to-the-point noble bass with first-class tone and optimal playing characteristics.
The six-bolt neck made of roasted Norwegian maple fits comfortably in the hand thanks to the C-profile.
Premium tonewoods and high playing comfort.
When building the California Supreme, Sandberg pays special attention to an elegant look and a premium sound experience with lively response and long-lasting sustain. Accordingly, the alder body is equipped with resonance chambers that not only support the tone but also contribute to the comfortable weight of the Basses. Sturdy as well as resonant Roasted Norwegian Maple is also used for the six-bolt neck. While the flat C-profile promises optimal playing characteristics up to the highest registers, the hand-selected cloud maple top and the ebony fingerboard with elegant oval inlays underline the dignified look of the five-stringer.
Two Delano The Xtender pickups and an active 3-band tone control promise flexible tones of the highest quality.
Delano Xtender pickups and active EQ
As pickups for the Sandberg California Supreme, the bass builders from Braunschweig choose two Delano The Xtender, which combine an independent look with flexible sounds. Thus, four coils are hidden under the oval caps, which can be called up in two characterful combinations by means of a mini-switch. While in humbucker mode both pickups offer an extremely powerful tone for sovereign power grooves, the middle pickup in split coil mode delivers first-class vintage sounds with the typical growl in the low mids. The bridge pickup, on the other hand, convinces as a single coil with a wiry-transparent tone for nimble basslines. To adjust the timbres, the California Supreme is also equipped with an active 3-band equalizer, which intervenes musically and precisely in the sound thanks to three selectable frequencies for the centre control. If desired, the Bass can also be played passively, with the treble control becoming a passive treble control.
At the headstock, five Sandberg Machine Heads made of aircraft aluminum ensure precise tuning.
High-quality hardware equipment
Of course, high-quality SandbergHardware completes the California Supreme 5. Accordingly, the solidly built Sandberg Bridge 5 is used on the body, which features three-dimensional adjustment options for intonation, string action and string spacing. The firmly lockable tailpieces also contribute to the lively and even sound of the five-string. Behind the zero fret and saddle, lightweight Sandberg Machines Heads made of aircraft aluminium ensure an exact and stable Tuning of the Sandberg California Supreme 5 Redburst Quilted Maple Top.
