With super cardioid for perfect recording

The Sennheiser MKH 8050 is a compact, high-end condenser microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern. This microphone is ideal for recording soloists, orchestras and instruments. Interference and background noise are very well attenuated by the supercardioid polar pattern and the MKH 8050 is also characterized by its very wide and balanced frequency response, which guarantees authentic transmission of sound events. Furthermore, it is extremely low-noise and low-distortion and its transformerless design effectively prevents phase problems and sound distortion. The special feature of the Sennheiser 8000 series is the modularity of the products, which means that the capsules of the microphones can be easily removed and replaced with another (with a different directional characteristic). A phantom voltage of 48V is required to operate the device.
