Avalon Design V5 Preamp and DI, Silver

With the V5, Avalon introduces a D.I.-RE microphone preamplifier in the tradition of the "world's most powerful D.I.-Box preamplifier U5".

Loaded with professional features such as high-gain, Pure Class A and dual impedance, it is ideal for dynamic, ribbon and high-level condenser microphones. The 10mOhm instrument DI input provides the finest pre-amplification for sensitive acoustic guitar pickups with a maximum input voltage of 36dB. This makes the V5 predestined for preamplification of line sources, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards and synthesizers. The transformer-isolated REAMPING output offers a variety of input-output configurations, allowing for extremely flexible routing including phase reversal.

The unique passive TONE Selector allows ten contours (six from the U5) to shape sound character, offers two passive high-pass filters and two "air-lift" filters for refining vocals and instruments, among other features.

The Avalon V5 has a unique feature set and uses 100% discrete DC-coupled Pure Class A amplifiers for "deep and controlled bass", along with its '"musical mids" for enhanced vocals and instruments.
