Swing from Behringer is a USB/MIDI controller keyboard with CV/Gate connections and polyphonic step sequencer. The slightly slimmed down keyboard with 32 velocity sensitive keys and aftertouch contributes significantly to the compact dimensions and is also easy to play. The polyphonic step sequencer has eight memory locations. Gate times and shuffle parameters can be set directly on the device. Patterns can be recorded, overdubbed and transposed in real time - yet you can still continue playing on the keyboard. In addition, there is a flexible arpeggiator with eight playback patterns and chord memory.
Flexible connection options
Swing is very extensively equipped in terms of its connections. In addition to the micro USB port, which is intended for communication with the computer along with power supply, there are also connections for the era before USB. The MIDI inputs and outputs can be used to synchronize and control other MIDI equipment. Thanks to the analogue Clock inputs and outputs, even mini-synths like a Teenage Pocket Operator can be integrated into the setup. The highlight however are the control voltage outputs for CV, Gate as well as a freely assignable voltage (velocity, aftertouch, ModWheel...). This makes Swing the ideal control center for a modular system and at the same time an interface between the analog and the digital world.
