EMG's Fat 55 humbucker from the Retroactive series combines the advantages of passive pickups with the proven EMG Active technology. Inspired by classic PAF sounds of the fifties, the humbucker in classic open coil design relies on a moderate output and the characteristic Alnico V warmth of the original. The EMG Fat 55 sounds clear and powerful thanks to adapted preamp voicing, while effectively eliminating background noise. The Fat 55 Bridge Humbucker comes with all necessary components in the form of two 25 kOhm potentiometers each for volume and tone, a stereo output socket, battery clip, EMG battery bus and mounting screws.
