A professional standard USB-DMX converter, capable of transmitting a full universe (512 channels) of DMX-512 data at full 40 Hz frame rate. An on-board microprocessor takes care of DMX framing, making it most reliable for live performances. To protect your computer from unintentional electrical surges (for example, if someone were to foolishly plug a phantom-powered mic cable into your interface) the DMXIS interface has full 1500V data and power isolation.
Pre-program or plug-in
With DMXIS, you pre-program your entire light show in advance, letting you concentrate on your live performance. You can then manually step through the light show using a simple footswitch plugged into the DMXIS hardware interface. Or, if you use audio software such as Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase or Mixmeister in your live show, you can use the DMXIS plug-in (VST or Audio Unit) to run your lights directly from your audio software! This is incredibly effective, as your light show automatically synchronizes to the performance, even if you change tempo live.

This was so easy to set up, it also came with a free software application which you can easy install onto your computer. The programme is really intuitive and allows you to control DMX lighting with your computer.
You can map a midi controller to it or even programme the lights to react to audio.
Really powerful device and easy to set up, and i'm a complete noob when it comes to lighting. having fun with this!
I have two other DMX controllers, one software, one hardware. Both have pros and cons, but the Dmxis is so much easier to program and can be used live with the aid of a single footswitch.
This is an extremely good product which allows you to control a DMX light show very easily from within your DAW, so lighting commands are sequenced together with your music project and can be developed using all the same tools/methods available for synths using MIDI controllers. I don't know any other product like that. I found it easy to set up and reliable, suitable for anyone wanting to explore the creative possibilities for the first time, and for bands/DJ's who are curious to experiment with the interaction between lighting and sound. The standalone light control software is also very good (similar to a hardware DMX controller) but there are other products with similar capabilities. Its the direct integration to products like Ableton, Cubase, etc (via plug-in) which make this product really stand out, and justify the cost. The following article describes it better than I possibly could:

I've had a lot of fun with it so far.
Took a little while to set up because I had old FTDI usb drivers that did not recognise the DMXIS. Once they were deleted (including the installed software) and new ones installed it worked like a dream. Easy to use and integrates with Ableton easily.
