When designing the Les Paul Customs Origins 7-String, Matt Heafy and Epiphone paid special attention to the ideal combination of the traditional "Tuxedo Look" and a handling perfectly tailored to the playing techniques of modern metal. While the Modern Weight relief of the mahogany body makes it much easier to contest long and action-packed shows, the Axcess Heel on the back allows unhindered access to the highest registers. The flat "SpeedTaper D" profile of the glued mahogany neck also promises comfortable playing characteristics, so that any riff or solo, no matter how complex, can be achieved with ease on the 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
