The Fame acoustic guitars offer a comprehensive sound experience at an affordable price thanks to their high-quality features and workmanship. The Fame J-20 II comes with a solid top and a practical pickup system. Due to its solid construction, the guitar produces a powerful sound with warm bass, as well as defined midrange and fine treble frequencies, making the instrument perfect for vocal accompaniment. The flat neck allows the player optimal access to all 20 frets. In addition, the instrument is equipped with open tuners, which allow precise tuning of the 6 steel strings and give the overall appearance a timeless touch. Visually, the guitar is rounded off by a filigree wood binding, a single-ring soundhole rosette and a mother-of-pearl mountain inlay. To emphasize the grain of the tonewoods used, the surface is sealed with a very thin high-gloss lacquer.

Structure and woods
To ensure that every note is developed clearly and distinctly, the top is made of solid mahogany. The evenly textured tonewood enriches the sound with defined midrange and subtle treble frequencies. The back and sides are made of thin-laminated mahogany, which gives the basses a powerful and warm note. While the mahogany neck with its 'C' profile flatters the player's hand, the HPL fingerboard provides enough space to easily master complex chords, or extensive sequences of notes. The individual components of the body are bordered by fine maple bindings.

Electronics
To make the Fame J-20 II suitable for stage use, a Fishman Sonitone pickup system is built into the guitar. Via a piezo element under the saddle, the acoustic sound is directly transmitted to the amplifier, so that the entire sound potential of the instrument can be reproduced unaltered. A control in the sound hole allows both the timbre and the volume to be adjusted individually. The active system is powered by a 9V block battery, which is stored in a separate battery compartment in the lower frame.
The Fame acoustic guitar with high quality hardware
Hardware and design
Thanks to a compensated bridge insert and a 43 mm wide bone nut, the acoustic guitar intonates cleanly and precisely over the entire scale length of 650 mm. Furthermore, the chrome-plated open-gear tuners guarantee easy tuning of the 6 steel strings, which are fixed with plastic pins in the HPL bridge. The generous Inlays on the headstock and fretboard give the instrument a unique recognition value and emphasize the value of the materials used. The appearance is completed by the high-gloss finish.
I was curious about an all Mahogany instrument, and I have a weak spot for Jumbos... this guitar was very attractive as far as price/features. It is as well built and beautiful as the pictures show, if you're not too picky like me about little finishing flaws here and there, and want a well built, functional, and beautiful to the eye instrument. As usual, I ticked with the action a few weeks till it was right for my taste and my house's temp. I also changed the tuning knobs, as the original didnt seem to hold 100% perfectly. It sounds very clear and defined, enough bottom as well, and of course lots of Mahogany brightness. Now I'm attracted to the new cutaway model they have, hehe. It has better features. RECOMMENDED.
