The Fender Limited Edition '59 Dual-Mag Stratocaster DLX Closet ClassicAged Seafoam Green #CZ567404 pays homage to the classic Fender electric guitars of the late 1950s with a flexible tonal transformation and its Vintage aging appearance, completed with intricate details and flawless sound. As a Deluxe Closet Classic, it has been subjected to one of the lighter aging processes and thus carries the character and appearance of an instrument that may not carry any direct playing marks, but like a true vintage instrument, has seen some well guarded years. Like every electric guitar from the FenderCustom store in Corona, California, the '59 Dual-Mag Strat is composed of high-quality tonewoods, detailed Hardware and premium pickups.
Due to the Deluxe Closet Classic Ageing process of the Fender Custom Shop, the '59 Stratocaster does not show any direct playing marks, but it looks like an optimally preserved vintage instrument due to skillful fine sanding.
Especially the texture of the Aged Seafoam Green nitrocellulose lacquer looks authentic and full of character due to the micro cracks typical for aging.
Composition and features
In classic Strat fashion, the '59 Dual-Mag Stratocaster is composed of a two-piece body of lightweight alder and a solid neck of chic AAA-grade curly maple. A beefy 1959 Large-'C' neck profile provides the familiar feel, with the 9.5-inchfretboardradius and 21 Narrow Tall frets presuming ample room for licks, riffs and bends. The FenderCustom store also relies on a traditional hardware setup that can do justice to a Vintage instrument of the late Fifties. Accordingly, the Dual-Mag Stratocaster Deluxe Closet Classic in Aged Seafoam Green is equipped with a Vintage Synchronized Tremolo and vintage-style tuning machines.
Treble loss can be avoided on all volume settings thanks to the Tone Saver Treble Bleed.
Dual-Mag II Pickup Equipment
As the name of the Fender Limited Edition '59 Dual-Mag Stratocaster DLX Closet ClassicAged Seafoam Green suggests, a trio of Dual-Mag II pickups are behind the sound transformation of the Custom Shop electric guitar. With their thick windings and the combination of Alnico V magnets and Alnico II pole pieces, the single coils offer a particularly balanced and rich sound. Of course, the midrange pickup here is also in RWRP format and thus prevents annoying noise and hum due to its reverse winding. Furthermore, the Dual-Mag Strat was equipped with a Vintage Modified #2 Wiring with its own tone control for the bridge pickup.
