For the seven-string Quest Q547, Ibanez has opted for a comfortable design without a headstock that is perfectly tailored to the needs of technically skilled guitarists. The flat Nyatoh body sits perfectly on the player thanks to its generously shaped contours, while the All Access Neck Joint and the wide Cutaways make the entire neck playable. This is made in five pieces from roasted maple and bubinga, with the pleasantly slim "Wizard C" profile creating the best conditions for agile string work on the 24-fret fretboard made from roasted birdseye maple.
While the HSS pickup setup with dyna-MIX9 switching promises a variety of sounds, mono-tune bridges bring the electric guitar safely into the correct tuning.

With the HSS pickup setup specially developed for the electric guitar and the innovative dyna-MIX9 circuit, which calls up nine different combinations of pickups via a 5-way switch and Alter Switch, the Ibanez Quest Q547 delivers particularly versatile clean and overdrive sounds for the modern styles of fusion and rock, with the low B-string also being cleanly and precisely integrated into the sound. Both the glassy-tuned R1-7 single coils in the neck and middle position and the powerful Q58-7 humbucker on the bridge impress with a balanced reproduction of all frequencies and a clearly audible string separation, even with complex chord voicings.
The custom string lock at the end of the neck guarantees a secure hold of the strings.
