I had looked at getting the Yamaha HS7W as they do look so nice, but already owning KRK VXT6's and Rocket RP5 G2's I defo have my feet in the KRK camp. But I'm always open to changing product and set about my research as I kinda had my heart set on the HS7's purely off the looks. My searches need up on brilliant YouTube page that compares different brands of speakers via A-B sound clips of different types of music. I looked at the HS5 vs Rokit5 G4 and the HS7 vs Rokit7 G4. Bit time the sound on the Yamaha's just felt like they were lacking body and bottom end. As my purchase would be used on my DJ booth the KRK's were the obvious choice after sat listening to all the various musical style comparisons.
Really happy with the white look of the upgrades as they fully compliment my Miami Vice white theme of there rest of my equipment. Also I noticed the upgrade in sound quality compared to my old Rokit5 G2's straight away. I haven't even got round to setting them up properly with the new KRK app yet, so I'm expecting the sound quality to improve further!
