I've had a number of different equipment racks over the years - this is one of the cheapest (especially per-U), but far and away the best. It's very easy to build (and comes with everything required - it uses confirmat bolts, like IKEA stuff - very strong connection), is extremely solid and safe, and has absolutely tons of space inside. None of the slots block each other (always a risk with and angled rack), and the angle is well-judged for all the gear to be easily accessible. The top is big and stable enough to put another rack on top - I've got a nice wooden 4U unit on top, plus a 500 series lunchbox on top of that, and it's all solid as a rock.

Plus, the rack looks great! This particular one is unfinished birch - it looks good as is, but I've finished it up with a dark walnut stain, and even though birch is supposed to take stain badly it looks sensational now it's finished. A really great bit of kit, and in all honesty it's pretty likely I will end up buying another...
