The Meinl HCS80246SM HCS Smack Stack 8"/10"/12"/14"/16" consists of five thin discs that combine to create a unique sound. The sound can be adjusted to your own preferences by tightening or loosening the cymbal stand's wing nut. Tightened tighter gives a crisp Attack and short Delay for quick accents, while a looser setting gives a longer Sustain. Meinl Smack Stacks work perfectly in combination with a snare for stronger backbeats, the sound with electronic character can even function completely as an alternative to the snare.
