The iLok 3rd Generation USB Smart Key can now store up to three times as many software licenses as the 2nd Generation. The one-piece extruded aluminium frame is ultra-durable with a blue LED indicator light. Felt like an unnecessary purchase at the time cause my iLok 2 was still alive and kicking but this is way better, it's so small and solid. Worthwhile upgrade.
I don't particularly like licence keys mainly because they take up an extra usb slot, but understand the need for companies to protect against piracy. It works fine and is certainly an improvement on the first generation. It does seem a bit pricey for what it is though.
