The RICKENBACKER 4003 Mapleglo Satin Limited Edition 2020 four-string bass is not without reason one of the greatest classics in the history of the electric bass. With its unmistakable design by Roger Rossmeisl, the electric bass has an incredible stage presence. The traditional maple construction with a full-length neck and two single-coil pickups delivers a sound with a strong character and enormous assertiveness. Last but not least, the Rickenbacker 4003 Mapleglo Limited Edition 2020 electric bass features the traditional Rickenbacker bridge with mute assembly and precise Schaller Deluxe tuners.
For the construction of the Rickenbacker 4003, the company from Santa Ana, California, has always relied on the neck through construction method. Here, the neck is made in one piece from maple and glued to the body panels, which are also made of maple. Together, these form the basis for the brilliant Rickenbacker sound. With the slim "C" profile, the neck also lies comfortably in the hand, so that on the 20-fret Caribbean Rosewood fretboard, every note comes naturally.
Two Rickenbacker single-coil pickups are used as pickups on the Rickenbacker 4003, which together with the passive electronics provide the typical Rickenbacker sound. Accordingly, a brilliant sound with lively dynamics is available at the amplifier, which asserts itself perfectly in the band sound. The 3-way toggle for pickup selection and separate volume and tone controls allow a wide range of tonal colors to be called up. Another special feature is the "Vintage Tone" circuit for the bridge pickup, which, when activated, delivers the particularly bright sound of the original Rickenbacker basses.
Last but not least the Rickenbacker 4003 Mapleglo Limited Edition 2020 convinces with reliable hardware equipment in authentic vintage style. The body features the strikingly designed Rickenbacker bass bridge, which allows for precise intonation and comfortable string action. In addition, the Mute Assembly, which can be adjusted via two Thumb Screws, offers the possibility of damping the string vibration. Last but not least, Schaller Deluxe tuners guarantee precise tuning of the bass.
This guitar is the legend. One of the few instruments which have its own tone, some people call it "grand piano on the neck". The tone is unrepeatable. The list of coumirs who played it is long - Paul, Waters, Rutherford, Squir - to name just a few. Some fellows ( I think they are simply too young ) say it looks old-fashioned. Tone knobs, pick-guard, pick-ups. Come on! When you take this guitar its like you pet a dinosaur :)) Rick makes this axe exactly the same as they did 40 years ago. Well as an instrument Rick is very comfortable, the neck is fast, and sustain is endless.I have many bases, but Rick is the chairmen of this company. Yes, pricey, but if can afford it you wont be disappointed.
I finally got a Rickenbacker bass. Been wanting one for years....Top service and even an earlier than expected delivery. The bass is fantastic! Thanks
