With the E-X50, Roland presents a comprehensively equipped homekeyboard for musicians of all ages. The instrument is aimed equally at beginners as well as advanced and professionals, without compromising. The well playable 61 key keyboard is velocity sensitive and adjustable in its behavior to the user. Due to the 256-voice polyphony, brisk, full-voiced playing is guaranteed without a note being swallowed. The indicated mini keyboard in the upper left corner allows on the one hand the recall and programming of scales, on the other hand twelve samples can be fired from the USB stick. With 2x 10 watts, the stereo speaker with bass reflex system of the E-X50 is powerful enough to play in a smaller setting.
Sounds, Styles & Sequencer
The internal 689 sounds are composed of 433 "normal" and 256 GM2 sounds and are a successful all-rounder from classical, rock, pop, dance music and electronics; even effect sounds are on board. If that's not enough, you can add reverb, EQ, Chorus and other effects to change the character of the sounds. 300 styles form a good basis for practicing and provide inspiration at the same time. The linear sequencer allows you to record melodies, bass accompaniment and rhythm on 16 tracks. Dual & Split Mode for the keyboard divides the keyboard into two sections, so that either two different sounds spread over the keyboard can be played simultaneously, or that two different sounds can be heard at the same time. A metronome can be switched on at any time for rhythmic orientation. So that first successes can be seen and heard soon, the E-X50 offers an automatic accompaniment with chord function, which has (self-programmable) scales and variations and is a good help when learning to play with both hands. The auto accompaniment also includes the 300 styles.
USB-MP3 Player
Another highlight of the E-X50 is the integrated USB MP3 player! On a USB stick you can save a few favorite songs to which you want to practice and play while the song is playing. Since the MP3 player also works independently, the Fame Stage Piano is also a stereo speaker for playing MP3 songs and WAV files.
Connections
In addition to the input for the power supply, there is a connection for the separately available sustain pedal. Stereo outputs connect the instrument to a mixing console, audio interface or home stereo system. Thanks to the headphone output with 6.3mm jack, it is possible to play and practice undisturbed at any time of the day. If you want to sing while playing the keyboard, simply connect a microphone with a large jack to the instrument and you can even add various effects. Via the USB port, the E-X50 can be connected to a computer and used as a master keyboard with music software (DAW). Using Bluetooth, the E-X50 can be connected to a smartphone or tablet so that your favorite songs can be played directly through the keyboard's speakers and included in the exercises.
