The Sandberg California TM4 MN Natural Satin is a genuine rocker with an understated aesthetic. Equipped with Delano pickups and an active 2-band tone control, this 4-string provides a powerful sound spectrum.
The heart of the California TM4 Natural Satin is the Ash body, whose transparent satin finish reveals the intensive grain of the wood. Along with the 6-point bolt-on Maple neck Sandberg guarantees a perfect connection to the body for an even sustain and crisp attack. The "C" profile neck also lies comfortably in the hand.
The Delano T-Style Single Coil on the neck provides a clear and dynamic sound whilst the M-Style Humbucker at the bridge delivers a powerful growl. The active 2-band tone control also allows the sound to be precisely adjusted.

I needed a backup bass for my trusty Fender Jazz. After reading researching the instruments on-line and never having played one I took a chance and bought the Sandberg California TM4. I've played 100's of basses over the years and have never found an instrument that I would regard as superior to the Fender Jazz range - until now. The Sandberg ticks all the boxes: fast neck, warm sound, great electronics, perfect weight distribution (same weight as the Fender but feels lighter). I really cannot fault it except to say the stock strings do the instrument no justice. I am now the happy owner of two Sandberg Californian's and have sold my Fender Jazz as it just cannot compete with the Sandbergs.
