A black housing, gold-plated sockets and controls as well as the "10th Anniversary" lettering set this version apart from the standard model. BeatBuddy is the world's first hands-free Drum machine. In a compact effects pedal-style housing, Beatbuddy offers ingeniously simple, hands-free control over beats, fills, transitions, outros or Tap tempo with just one footswitch. This makes the pedal the ideal partner for anyone who wants a mechanical, rhythmic accompaniment off the beaten track of drum machines and grooveboxes.

The easy-to-read, multi-coloured display provides information about the current song part and also has an optical metronome. Its unquantized MIDI loops and multi-layered sounds recorded by real studio drummers, including 15 dynamic levels, far surpass conventional drum computers and achieve an impressive level of authenticity. An included, fully loaded SD card contains 200 songs and 10 drum kits. Additional songs and kits are available online and can be quickly and easily transferred to the BeatBuddy via the USB interface. With the separately available Footswitch+ available separately, the Beatbuddy can be significantly upgraded in terms of functionality, including direct access to Accent and pause. When using the optionally available MIDI sync cable the Beatbuddy can be synchronized with other MIDI equipment.
