TR-808 Maracas Generator with 808 Noise

MA808 generates the original maraca sound of the TR-808 and additionally offers an 808 noise output, as starting point for patching your own drum sounds. The fluffy, assertive sound is ideal for percussive support of Hi Hat sounds in groove. The attack can be adjusted between sharp stop and exponential characteristic with softer stop. A marker point indicates the original TR-808 setting. The 808 Noise Output provides a continuous full spectrum analog white noise signal for versatile white noise applications.

The dual input pulse shaper circuit in the inputs allows the triggering of sounds via conventional trigger/gate signals from sequencers, clock dividers, or other pulse/clock sources without having to calibrate the levels of the trigger pulses in advance, whereby consistently powerful sounds are extracted from the module, independent of the trigger signal. All these small, useful functions allow you to easily integrate this legendary sound into your modular system, which unleashes analog power and makes the loudspeaker spheres shake!

The numerous Tiptop drum modules form a complete, flexible synthesizer system. In combination with the MIXZ module, the sum mix can be picked up without prior patching.
