LED filaments (filaments) are rod-shaped light-emitting electronic components, consisting of a transparent carrier, LEDs attached to it and a fluorescent layer. The special feature of these lamps are the curved filaments, which enhance the optical impression many times over.
The other components are similar to a classic incandescent lamp with tungsten filament or carbon filament, except for one small but crucial detail: a small power supply, typically built into the lamp base, which converts the input voltage for the operation of the LEDs.
Due to the alignment of the LED filaments, the appearance of LED filament lamps when switched on is very reminiscent of a carbon filament lamp
. 2200K colour temperature creates a very cosy atmosphere.
This effect is further enhanced by the additionally coloured glass bulb.
This makes these lamps ideal for ambient lighting in bars, hotels, theatres, clubs or even in the living room at home.
