AMA Verlag Playing Handpan

How to play Handpan?

The handpan is still a fairly new instrument that, in contrast to the classical instruments, cannot yet look back on a centuries-long tradition. Therefore, it has not yet developed its own style of playing and there are only a small number of manuals dedicated to this musical instrument. The techniques of older percussion instruments are still being transferred to the handpan.

A completely new approach to handpan playing

With Playing Handpan, Kay Rauber, drummer and experimental percussionist, presents creative work with the instrument. He teaches various rhythms and motivates and inspires free playing. He shows a completely new approach to playing and makes clear what potential lies in the handpan.
