Very good mic. The Price/Performance is the best you can find. Great sound and a robust chassis. Its the best choice for a beginner/intermediate level, a great mic for a homestudio or semi-professional studio.
This mic is absolutely superb for many different applications - may it be drums, guitar, vocal etc. I personally use it the most with drums and now actually have three of them already. First I found it is a very good snare mic. It had a much fuller and open sound comparing to any kinds dynamics like Shure SM57. Of course the bleed is higher, but you can tame it by covering and taping the back and top with some foam. Then I also found that AT2020 was very good for recording the whole drum set with one mic in the band practice, so decided to buy more of them. So if you like this open, perhaps a vintage type of acoustic drum sound, you can cover the whole kit very well with them. Vocals are also very nice - well this is the part where every singer has to find its own, but you are always safe using it. It captures all whats coming out of the mouth and you can process it later. To me it is like a condenser equivalent to SM57/58 - the could be something better out there for every specific instrument or type of voice, but you are always safe to use it.
I love this mic, i recently bought it, it has a very clear sound, not to much hyping of higher frequents, Has a lot of applications (backing or even lead vocs), Room mic, Acoustic guitars and things like boomboxes, bongos. Certainly a fan, very robust mic, good features exept id like a better holder!
É a primeira vez que compro um microfone desta marca e gostei bastante do investimento. Bom micro, sensível, com bom recorte e boa relação qualidade/preço. Recomendo!!!! Óptimo para pequenos estúdio. Fiável e com boa qualidade no geral.
