Roland's System-100m, which was built from 1979 to 1984, is probably one of the best-known modular systems. The manageable number of modules and especially the presence of several functions per module made it an attractive instrument for many a user. Behringer has transferred the classic dimensions to the compact Eurorack format and taken great care to ensure that sound and function are in no way inferior to the cult object.
The Behringer 305 Parametric EQ / Output Mixer module is ideal for being the last link in the signal path within a modular system. The two main functions parametric equalizer and output mixer are integrated and can be used independently. The equalizer is parametric and has four adjustable bands. The output of the EQs is normalized to channel 1 of the mixer, but can also be used separately. The mixer has four inputs, which are adjustable in volume and pan position. In the lower part of the module you can find the outputs, which are in small and even large jack. In addition, the Behringer 305 Parametric EQ / Output Mixer has a built-in headphone preamplifier and even a tuning oscillator for tuning the VCOs at the beginning of the signal path has been thought of. The latter oscillates optionally with concert pitch A at 220, 440 or 880 hertz.
Behringer 305 Equalizer / MixerI've bought a 110 and the full 100M series but wanted a mixer with a few added utilities, the 305 is perfect for that. With the line out as well, it just plugs straight into my mixer without needing to go through my NW2s module.
For the price, any of the system 100M clones are worth the money.
This is a brilliant tool for your modular system. Not only do you get a 4 channel mixer which is what you'll mainly be using, but the inclusion of a dedicated headphone output with its own volume control is incredibly useful for my workflow. All of this for less than £100 is already brilliant before getting to the equalizer. Good build quality too. If you need some strong functionality for a good price, you can't go wrong here.
Pretty essential for actually getting audio out of your modular and into the studio signal path. Great price too. Would be nice if there were a couple of more channels, but no complaints. Highly recommended.
