Fender American Original '70s Jazz Bass with traditional construction
The construction of the Fender American Original '70s Jazz Bass follows the historical guidelines of the golden era of guitar making. Accordingly, the body is made of ash with the traditional offset proportions, while the screwed maple neck carries a maple fingerboard with binding and block inlays. The "1975 U" profile with its slim 38 mm saddle width lies comfortably in the hand, so that even complex bass lines can be handled with ease.
Pure Vintage Single Coil Pickups with passive electronics
The Fender American Original '70s Jazz Bass RW Natural uses two Fender Pure Vintage '70 Jazz Bass Single Coil Pickups made with traditional materials. The single coilers have bobbins made of vulcanized fiber, enamelled copper wire and Alnico V rod magnets. At the amplifier they deliver versatile and fat vintage sounds, ranging from the dry assertiveness of the bridge pickup to the deep bass foundation of the mid-range pickup. Pickups are managed using the classic passive electronics, which includes two volume controls and a height control.
Traditional hardware equipment
Last but not least, the Fender American Original '70s Jazz Bass offers traditional hardware equipment with authentic style and unshakable reliability. The body is fitted with the proven Fender 4-Saddle Vintage Bass Bridge, which guarantees precise intonation and a comfortable string position with four individually adjustable string riders. At the same time, the fluted surfaces of the "barrels" allow a certain adjustability of the string spacing. At the headstock, the strings are also guided via a bone saddle to the precise Fender Pure Vintage tuners.
