Authentically built ES
When building the 1964 Historic Reissue ES-335, the Gibson Custom Shop naturally follows the specifications from the golden sixties. The vibrating body made of maple-poplar laminate is stabilized by a solid center block made of maple, so that despite the airy acoustic timbre no feedbacks spoil the sound enjoyment. In addition, the glued mahogany neck comes in the pleasantly strong "Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape", so that on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard every lick comes out of the fingers as if by magic.
With custom bucker pickups and semi-acoustic construction, the 1964 Reissue ES-335 delivers premium vintage tones.
Gibson Custom Bucker
With two Gibson Custom Bucker pickups, the 1964 Reissue E-335 delivers premium vintage tones for the classic styles of blues and rock. As authentic PAF reissues, the pickups, armed with Alnico III magnets, impress with a detailed reproduction of the hollow-body sound and an airy dynamic response. The typical hand-wired 3-way circuit, which features separate volume and tone controls for each humbucker as well as paper-in-oil caps, allows you to precisely adjust the tone color.
Kluson tuners in the historically correct "Single Line, Double Ring" promise precise tuning.
Authentic hardware equipment
When it comes to hardware, the Historic Reissue ES-335 also impresses with authenticity down to the smallest detail. On the body, the combination of aluminum tailpiece and ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge established under the aegis of Ted McCarty ensures precise adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the historically correct nylon s addle, Kluson tun ers with an authentic "single line, double ring" look promise precise and stable tuning of the electric guitar.
