Compact semi-hollow in a nutshell
The Gibson E-339 Studio gets to the heart of the semi-hollow concept. The sound of the electric guitar alone, which is determined by the warm timbre of the three-layered maple laminate body and solid centre block, is in the foreground without unnecessary optical ornamentation. In combination with the "Soft C" profile of the glued mahogany neck, the compact body of the Gibson ES-339 Studio also offers agile handling.

Classic humbucker sound
Equipped with a '57 Classic Humbucker on the neck and a Super '57 Classic Humbucker on the bridge, the Gibson ES-339 Studio Wine Red delivers classic sounds. With their airy dynamics, the pickups convincingly capture the lively acoustic timbre of the electric guitar and transmit it to the amplifier with vocal mids and a transparent treble spectrum. The classic circuitry, which includes a 3-way toggle and individual volume and tone controls, allows you to select a wide range of different shades of sound.
Gibson Hardware & Grover Tuners
Gibson's ES-339 Studio uses the proven combination of a No Wire ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge and the classic aluminium stopbar for the most direct resonance transmission to the body. Of course, the popular bridge offers versatile adjustability in terms of string position and intonation. At the other end of the Semihollow, solid Grover Milk Bottle Rotomatic machine heads in nickel finish keep the mood.
