Defined sound through spruce and mahogany
Classic tonewoods and innovative bracing
The Keb' Mo' 3.0 is also a tried-and-true instrument because the combination of tonewoods used here produces an exceptionally distinctive sound. The mahogany body and the top made of thermally treated Sitka spruce provide excellent treble response and a pronounced midrange spectrum. The sound is given the necessary assertiveness by the fully solid construction and the Advanced-X bracing, which favours the vibration behaviour of the top. The bars positioned closer to the sound hole create a larger surface area that moves more strongly with each stroke matching and thus develops a voluminous tone.
The Keb' Mo' 3.0 Vintage Sunburst guarantees a pleasant playability
Resilient mahogany neck
The mahogany neck combines exactly the criteria required for this demanding guitar part, as high stability and a pleasant weight make mahogany one of the most popular woods for guitar necks in guitar making. In combination with the Keb'-Mo' neck profile, the guitar feels good in the hand and is easy to play. The shortened 635mm scale length also contributes to finger-friendly guitar playing, as less effort is required when fingering thanks to it. Meanwhile, the 45.8mm wide nut invites delicate fingerpicking and expressive strumming, while the Mother-Of-Pearl dot inlays provide good orientation on the rosewood fingerboard.
High tuning stability and clean intonation for lasting playing pleasure
Reliable hardware
Like the fretboard, the bridge is made of rosewood, as the hardwood has the stability to withstand the solid string tension of a steel-string. This results not only in a harmonious overall appearance but also the best resistance. The bone nut guarantees a clean transmission of the string vibration, while nickel-plated Grover open-gear tuners provide high tuning stability.
The L. R. Baggs VTC transmits a perfectly natural sound
Natural sound transmission
Thanks to the L. R. Baggs VTC, the Keb' Mo' 3.0 Vintage Sunburst is well-equipped for successful stage shows. This active system for acoustic guitars is an under-saddle pickup that is discreetly mounted in the sound hole and whose sound can be regulated via volume and tone control. This transmits an absolutely pristine sound that will delight you and the audience.
