The Godin Fairmount Composer QIT conveys a warm mahogany sound that unfolds quickly and over a wide area thanks to a wafer-thin semi-gloss finish. This makes the high-quality instrument ideal for expressive picking and light strumming. With the help of an built-in Godin QIT pickup system with side pre-amp and integrated tuner, the compact Concert Hall Western guitar can be easily connected to an amplifier and individually adjusted. Rounding out the Godin Fairmount are eye-catching fretboard inlays, open tuners and a beautiful tortoise pickguard.
Woods and construction
To ensure optimal reverberation, the manufacturer uses a solid mahogany wood for the top and back, with the sides being laminated. In combination with the wafer-thin finish, this gives the tone a saturated warmth and a particularly long-lasting resonance. For an obliging playability in all 21 frets a flat mahogany neck provides, which is equipped with a robust Richlite fingerboard. A compensated bridge inlay and a 44 mm wide nut made of GraphTech TUSQ ensure clean intonation over the entire scale length of 648 mm.
Design and Hardware
For precise tuning of the 6 steel strings, the manufacturer uses open tuners with 16:1 ratio, which gives the instrument an additional traditional touch. This is perfectly rounded off with eye-catching fingerboard inlays and an ornate tortoise pickguard. The final touches to the Godin Fairmount Composer QIT acoustic guitar are fine multi-ply bindings and a delicate three-ring soundhole rosette.
