Five-string Soundgear Bass with comfortable handling and flexible sound.
In the best Soundgear tradition, the Ibanez Standard SR305EDX-RGC Rose Gold Chameleon combines unparalleled playability with a modern, versatile sound spectrum. While the streamlined Nyatoh body and slim maple-walnut neck contribute to the nimble handling of the five-string E-Bass, the redesigned PowerSpan humbuckers combined with the active 3-band tone control deliver versatile tones for any style of music. Last but not least, Ibanez completes the SR305EDX Rose Gold Chameleon with reliable hardware whose gold finish harmoniously complements the beautiful flip-flip lacquer.
The Ibanez Standard SR305EDX-RGC Rose Gold Chameleon convinces not only with an extroverted look, but also with agile playing characteristics and diverse bass sounds.
Typical Soundgear playing comfort
Featuring a Nyatoh body in the typical flowing Soundgear design, the SR305EDX Bass hugs the player for a robust playing position both sitting on the leg and standing on the strap. The four-bolt neck is five-piece maple and walnut, with a flat "SR5" profile that fits comfortably in the hand and lets fast basslines and complex grooves flow easily on the Jatoba fingerboard.
PowerSpan humbucker with active 3-band tone control.
As pickup on the standard SR305EDX-RGC Rose Gold Chameleon specially developed for this BassIbanez PowerSpan dual-coil pickups are used, which in conjunction with the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control cover a variable sound spectrum. No matter or transparent solo and jazz sounds, dirty rock growl or rich thrust from the deepest bass cellar, the five-string always has the right setting for every style ready and presents even the low B-string precisely.
Power tap switch for sound variability
A special feature of the Ibanez SR305EDX Rose Gold Chameleon bass guitar is furthermore the power tap switch, which switches the coils of both humbuckers from the powerful series circuit to tap or power tap mode. While the former provides authentic single-coil sounds with typical clarity and tone definition, the latter adds a fundamental bass component to this sound.
High quality Hardware with unwavering reliability.
Last but not least, Ibanez equips the Standard SR305EDX-RGC Rose Gold Chameleon with reliable Hardware in an elegant gold finish. On the body side, the strings find hold on the proven Accu-Cast B505 bridge, whose solid construction supports the sustain-rich sound character of the bass guitar. The individually adjustable string riders for intonation and string position with a string spacing of 16.5 mm offer enough space for clean strokes even with spirited playing, while the ball ends that can be hooked in from the top make changing the strings much easier. Ibanez Die-Cast bass tuners on the headstock keep the Bass securely in tune.
I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.

An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
