The Line 6 Variax Shuriken SR250 was developed in close collaboration between Line 6 and Stevic MacKay, guitarist for Australia's progressive metal band Twelve Foot Ninja. Accordingly, the electric guitar turns out to be a first-class tool for virtuoso riffs and solos. While the electric guitar has an ergonomic alder body and a comfortable maple neck, the elaborate Line 6 Variax electronics provide versatile sounds that set no limits to creativity.
The Line 6 Variax Shuriken was designed by Stevic MacKay and features a high level of ergonomics. The alder body nestles against the player and thus assumes a particularly stable position, while the wide cut cutaways allow unhindered access to the high positions of the screwed maple neck. Thanks to the 25.5" long standard scale (648 mm), the electric guitar also offers the familiar feel in standard tuning and moderate drop tunings.
The Line 6 Medium-Output Humbucker on the bridge of the Line 6 Variax Shuriken is a tight, tight-sounding instrument that's perfect for modern metal sounds. The Line 6 Variax Shuriken unfolds its full tonal potential by using the integrated Variax electronics. In addition to detailed simulations of various electric and acoustic guitars, it also provides presets programmed by Stevic MacKay so that there are no limits to creativity. There is also the possibility to change the tuning of the electric guitar "on the fly". The Line 6 Workbench software makes it easy to program presets on your computer.
