With the M49 V set, Neumann is reviving a legend that revolutionized studio technology as early as the 1950s with its infinitely variable, remotely switchable polar pattern. Since then, there have been various further developments, but with this Neumann is going "back to the roots", so to speak, and is hereby presenting the new edition according to the original specifications of the c version!
What awaits you after purchase? Quite simply - an incomparably full, silky sound, which has characterized countless recordings to this day. The same circuit was used, but an even lower noise subminiature tube was used. Since nowadays high-frequency interference from cell phone networks and WiFi has increased enormously, the RF-dense connector was also adopted from the M249. And for all users of the historic M 49: The enclosed NM V directional switch is designed to automatically provide both the new and the old microphone with the optimum heating voltage for the tube installed in each case. It also automatically adjusts to the country-specific mains voltage.
But it's not just the microphone itself that is impressive across the board: the M 49 V set also includes the iconic"Yoke" boom mount, which has already contributed to the enormous popularity of the M 49 thanks to its flexible positioning.
The Set is rounded off by the high-quality case, which, just like the entire microphone, is handmade in Germany.
