Presonus enters the next round with Studio One Artist and offers with the fourth version further extensive, flexible and intuitive features that further improve the workflow. The popular one-window philosophy with its consistent drag & drop functionality is once again convincing, while features such as pattern/step sequencers, 5 additional virtual instruments, real-time time-stretching, two synthesizers etc. provide more inspiration when composing, producing, mixing or jamming. Studio One 4 Artist also comes with an unlimited number of audio tracks, MIDI tracks, busses and effect channels, a native 32-bit audio engine with up to 384 kHz and 30 effect plug-ins, which provides a comparatively professional standard at all times - even though it is"only" the slimmer version. Other features include Impact XT and SampleOneXT for beat- or loop-based production and live sampling, multi-touch monitor support, and a macro toolbar for frequently used commands and programmable command combinations. In summary, these and many more features bring each project to a higher level, resulting in a unique balance between efficiency, flexibility, professionalism and fun at work.
