Roland TR-06 Drumatix

Drumcomputer

Roland TR-06 Drumatix

With the TR-06 Drumatix Roland presents their digital reproduction reinterpretation of the drum machine classic TR-606 (1982-1984) and thus at the same time the "little sister" of the TR-08. Once it was the TR-606, which was to provide the bassline TB-303 in the same housing as the rhythmic accompaniment. Roland has elegantly repackaged this with the TR-06 in the Boutique series. The puristic, analog sound, which in this case is digitally converted with Roland's modern ACB technology, is suitable then as now especially for electro tracks and of course everything that needs pressure or simply to complement another drum machine. The sound generation is customizable via the menu and individual sounds can even be exchanged. Seven instruments and Accent are programmable. Bass drum, snare and cymbal have their own volume control, toms and hihats are each set in pairs.

Sequencer

The sequencer gives access to 128 patterns, each of which can be up to 32 steps long and of course the song mode. Also integrated in the TR-06 are the four scales, each of which allows a different rhythm. Additionally, flam and substeps can be programmed. The trigger probability can be determined for individual steps and for all tracks and patterns. A feature that brings more variation and also randomness into ready-programmed beats.

Effects

As a balance and welcome extension to the rudimentary drum sounds, there are some effects that really heat up the overall sound and significantly expand the sound spectrum. Compressor, Delay, Pan-Delay, Tape Echo, Reverb, Flanger, Side Band Filter, Saturator, Bit Crusher, Distortion and LP/HP Filter are available to modify the sound.

Connections

In addition to stereo inputs and outputs, headphones and MIDI In/Out, there are five analog trigger outputs that can be used to trigger drum modules in a Eurorack modular system. The instrument is powered via the USB port and fully integrated into the DAW with audio and MIDI tracks if desired.
