One of the best purchases I've made! I bought this guitar knowing the history of Fender's Musicmaster Bass — In short the Musicmaster bass was introduced as a student entry model, a stripped down version of the mustang with a strat single coil instead of the split single coils the mustang had. They used 6 pole strat pickups because those were the pickups they had in surplus plus shaved the cost of production not having to design totally new pickups. Later on the Musicmaster was soon replaced by the bronco Bass.
The bronco is a great bass guitar!
What's even better is that you can retro fit strat pickups to get a sound no other bass has.
I replaced the standard pickups with Strat Fat 50's, & I'm utterly surprised how punchy and tight the bass sounds!
An original guitar with history, not aiming to mimic what was before; just sounds like itself.

Fantastic for the price, ideal for home/studio use.
I bought this for use in my studio. It's ideal for laying down bass lines while sat at my desk. It's really light, and the smaller size means it is easy to use on your lap. The quality is very good for the price. I'm hard pushed to find any difference in finish and build quality with a mexican Fender.
