The VOX Pathfinder 10 Guitar Amp Combo, Black is a 10-Watt, 1 x 6.5" combo with warm British sounds and high gain capability that’s thoroughly modern.
The VOX Pathfinder 10 Guitar Amp Combo features basket-weave, leather-look vinyl, distinctive diamond grille cloth and chicken head knobs. Gold beading and white piping have also been faithfully reproduced, perfectly recapturing the legendary look of VOX.
VOX Pathfinder 10 is perfect for home practice, backstage warm-up and recording. The Clean/Overdrive switch allows you to change instantly between clean and dirty sounds. With a mere press of this switch you can go from a crystal clear clean sound to our uniquely warm distortion; or from a slightly crunchy bluesy tone to a high-gain, modern-rock roar.
Plug your headphones into the Headphone/Line Out jack and automatically mutes the amp’s speaker. This jack also doubles as a specially filtered Line Out which is perfect for recording your amp without having to worry about setting up any pesky microphones. The Pathfinder 10 also features controls for Gain, Treble, Bass and Volume plus a Clean/Overdrive switch.
The VOX Pathfinder 10 Guitar Amp Combo Main Features Include:
Played the VOX pathfinder 10 for 2 years now. An overall good practice / home amp. Actually quite impressive quality and sound considering the price and comparing it with products from the same price range. The features are basic but I dont mind since I use a series of effect pedals anyway. Loud enough for home use. Rarely used the OD switch - if at all (no footswitch option). Great clean sound - great looks.
I did my homework and went for this based on positive reviews. I am very very happy with the product, it really is very good. Unfortunately it was supplied with a Euro plug and it is hard wired so not a lot of use in the UK. DV247 have promised an adaptor so that will fix the problem.
The AMP itself delivers fantastic sound quality, great range and bass, the speaker does very well and I honestly couldn't be happier
This amp is great for practice, and maybe even for early shows. Of course it doesn't go very loud, but for bedroom practice that's an advantage: you don't need to disturb the neighbours to get the warm sound of high volume. It does not have a foot switch (nor a jack to plug one in), so it might not be the best for live performing, but I love it for practicing blues, jazz and fingerpicking styles.
I bought this practice amp so I can tinker about at home without upsetting the neighbours. I'll be honest, my expectations were low at this price point but this little amp has more meat than a butchers shop.
