Yamaha introduces the DHR and CHR, two new series of three active and three passive sound reinforcement loudspeakers respectively, positioned between the entry-level DBR/CBR series and the high-end DZR/CZR line, delivering professional results without breaking the budget.
With three models in different sizes, the new DHR - Series has the right speaker for every conceivable application: a 10" model for fixed installations and utilities, a 12" model for use as a floor monitor, and a 15" version for FOH applications - all with custom transducers driven by DSP-equipped Class D power amplifiers that deliver impressive sound quality and clarity. Combined with practical features tailored to specific applications, the series gives you the flexibility to choose the ideal loudspeaker for a variety of sound environments.

Yamaha DHR10
The DHR10 is a bi-amped 2-way active loudspeaker equipped with a 10" woofer and a 1.4" HF driver, perfect for use in fixed installations. The integrated Class D power amplifier impresses with a power output of 700 watts.
In addition, the active loudspeaker is equalized using state-of-the-art DSP and offers two different frequency response presets for use as FoH PA or floor monitor. A switchable high-pass filter also provides effective and intuitive bass management when used in difficult environments or with additional subwoofers.
Greatest flexibility
The DHR10 is extremely flexible: not only can it be mounted on a high stand, but it can also be optionally fitted with horizontal and vertical mounting brackets wherever a small additional loudspeaker is required - whether as a delay line for larger halls or as infill under balconies. This compact all-rounder ensures optimum results at all times, even under difficult installation conditions: Its compression horn with 90° x 60° coverage angle can be rotated for practical use.
Mixing console on board
The DHR10 not only impresses with the concentrated power of its Class D power amplifier, but also requires no additional technical equipment at all for small events. The built-in mixer allows the connection of two signal sources, whereby input one with its XLR/TRS combo jack is even equipped for the direct connection of microphones.
Input two also has a flexible combo jack for balanced cabling and is happy to accept line sources of any kind - even stereo sources can be connected via additional RCA inputs.
Both inputs can be mixed directly at the speaker, so that daily standard sound reinforcement tasks can be mastered without any additional equipment.
Ready for the Road
Yamaha, one of the leading manufacturers of professional sound reinforcement equipment for more than fifty years, knows very well that the rigours of the road are not for the faint-hearted. That's why the new DHR/CHR loudspeakers were designed with maximum roadability and ruggedness in mind. The cabinets are made of solid plywood with an extremely resistant polyurea coating and together with the sturdy speaker grilles ensure that the sound-rich speakers can withstand even hard impacts without complaint. All models of the CHR/DHR series are equipped with high stand flanges, CHR15 and DHR15 are furthermore equipped with professional flying points.
