Behringer Powerplay P2

Plugged into an output from our sound desk, this works to drive headphones as a personal monitor. We're using it to help someone who wears hearing aids, and can't work with a floor wedge.

Sound comes though with enough loudness and good quality.
I have noticed some interference with my mobile phone if they are placed beside each other.
On build quality, good hard metal outside shell and solid clip. Feels rugged (unit feels a little big for what it does). Changing batteries is slightly awkward (removing the whole outside shell). There isn't a low battery warning, so you'd want to change batteries before each gig to make sure they last (it says 11 hours run time but I haven't tested that). The cable clip/lock mentioned in description is the same sort you'd see on any stage box. For an XLR cable it works.

Purchased this Behringer Powerplay P2 for my drummer. It’s just the perfect IEM solution. As drummers don’t move around much, this was a perfect choice.

The P2 is simple to use, sounds great and for the low price tag, you can’t go wrong. All metal and very sturdy. Just two AAA batteries and away you go for hours. Also, you can choose between mono or stereo.

These are great! The button to access the batteries does get a bit worn over time, and the batteries do have a tendency to occasionally pop out. But its an easy fix and you can't argue with the price.

Picked this up for an easy in-ear monitor option. I play drums and guitar in a church band, which never gets really loud or requires much movement around on stage. Easy to insert batteries, all connections are secure, nice action on the volume control and never needed more than 40% level so far.

The only problem is the belt clip. It is held on by the plate that also holds the XLR/Jack input from the desk. The problem is that is only has screws holding it on in 2 of the 4 corners. When I had the pack on the side of my body (rather than at the back) the belt clip twisted. As it is attached to the end plate and only on a 2 of the corners this has bent that end plate off a bit.

Everything is still working as expected, but I could easily see it causing damage because of twisting under normal conditions. Time will tell!

Bought this to help with in-ear monitoring applications. Very well built, as with all things from Behringer, and excellent level of amplification output whilst maintaining a clean signal.
