With the BluGuitar AMP1 Mercury Edition the German guitar virtuoso and "Strat King of Europe" Thomas Blug presents a revised version of his smart electric guitar amplifier in compact effect pedal format. With a surface area barely larger than a magazine, the compact amp is the perfect companion for the travelling guitarist thanks to its 100 watt Nanotube amplifier and four channels. The optimized and flexible sound tuning will delight both friends of classic vintage sounds and modern metal guitarists alike.
For the Bluguitar Amp1 Mercury Edition, all four channels underwent revisions to their sound tuning based on Thomas Blug's many years of experience and feedback from the guitarist community. Accordingly, the Clean Channel convinces with both warm vintage sounds and modern, highly transparent sounds for modern styles, while the Vintage Channel is tighter tuned without denying its British character. In the "Hot Rodded" Classic channel, the Bluguitar Amp1 Mercury Edition delivers a first-class rock sound with a rich punch and bite that will perfectly assert itself in the band context. Last but not least, the Modern channel has extended gain reserves and more dynamics, so that endless singing leads as well as rich metal riffs with a tight response can be realized. As usual, each channel has its own volume and tone controls on the side of the cabinet, allowing you to set the individual basic character, while the 3-band tone control allows you to perfectly adjust the final sound. In addition, a switchable boost with separate level control is available, which significantly increases the gain and volume reserves. Last but not least, the Bluguitar Amp1 Mercury Edition offers an optimized reverb algorithm and an effect path for looping in additional effect devices.
The Nanotube power amp is based on a compact tube that gives the BluGuitar Amp1 Mercury Edition, despite its compact size, the natural dynamics and warmth of a full-grown tube car. The 100 watt output releases sufficient volume reserves for use on stage or in the studio. A recording output is also available for easy removal of the amplifier, which can also be used to connect headphones for quiet practice. In addition, a connector is available for the optional BluGuitar Remote1 or the optional BluGuitar MIDI1, which significantly expands the amplifier's control capabilities.
