7-string electric guitar with full neck and active EMG pickups, including case
With the ESP E-II T-B7 Baritone Black Satin, the Japanese smithy for heavy instruments presents a 7-string electric guitar for today's Metalhead. While the classic TE-style design conveys timeless understatement, an extended baritone scale and active EMG pickups provide merciless sounds with precise definition. Last but not least, hardware from Tonepros and Gotoh promises unrestricted reliability that can withstand even the toughest stage applications with stoic serenity.
The ESP E-II T-B7 Baritone Black Satin offers a neck-through construction with 27" scale for perfectly articulated tones.
ESP E-II T-B7: With baritone scale to the defined sound
To ensure that all seven strings of the ESP E-II T-B7 are represented with tight articulation even during drop-tunings, the Japanese guitar builders rely on a neck through construction with a contemporary baritone scale length of 27" (686 mm). The combination of flat "Thin U" profile and flowing neck foot guarantees unimpeded playability over all 24 frets of the ebony fingerboard. Alder wings are also glued to the full maple neck.
Active EMGs for proper printing
So that the ESP E-II T-B7 baritone makes the amplifier sweaty, active pickups from EMG are used. The EMG 81-7 mounted on the bridge cuts through the densest band sound with its razor-sharp focused mid-range spectrum and a juicy portion of height bite, while the EMG 707 equipped with Alnico magnets at the neck makes every lead line sing. Also in the clean channel both pickups can fully convince, where they deliver transparently resolved chords and harmonic melodies. The pickups are managed using a 3-way blade switch and general volume and tone controls.
Hardware from Tonepros and Gotoh for unlimited functionality
The ESP E-II T-B7 Baritone Black Satin is complemented by high-quality hardware from Gotoh and Tonepros, which takes on even the toughest applications on stage with composure. A Tonepros Locking Tune-O-Matic serves as a bridge, behind which the strings are guided through the body for a crisp sound. Their generous adjustability also guarantees perfect intonation and comfortable string position. At the headstock, the strings are also guided via a bone saddle to the Gotoh locking mechanisms, which allow the guitar to be precisely tuned. Last but not least, Schaller Security Locks ensure a secure hold on the guitar strap.
