The ESP LTD ALR-II is a signature model of Andy LaRocque, the influential guitarist, music producer and co-founder of the legendary metal band King Diamond. Based on the popular Horizon design, the ALR-II features a full-length neck for maximum resonance and sustain. The eye-catching See Thru Purple finish perfectly accentuates the grain of the beautiful maple top and gives the guitar a striking look. The three-piece maple neck is fitted with a Macassar ebony fingerboard, which has a 12" - 16" compound radius for optimum playability and 24 extra jumbo stainless steel frets. Luminlay side dots ensure the best visibility on dark stages, allowing precise riffs and demanding leads to be tackled cleanly. The combination of Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Trembucker on the bridge and an STK-S6 Custom Stack Plus on the neck provide a brute sound for heavy high-gain sounds. For maximum tuning stability, the electric guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo. The LTD ALR-II is supplied with an ESP Form-Fit hardshell case and is therefore ideally equipped for use in the studio or on tour.
