With 50 watts, 2 channels, integrated effects and equalizer, the affordable Fame Athena is the ideal companion for the ambitious singer-songwriter. In addition, high-quality, softly suspended special speakers provide a natural, neutral and balanced sound that one would actually only expect in a significantly higher price range.
The first channel provides a gain control to adjust the guitar input signal, while a 3-band equalizer allows plenty of room for individual frequency separation. In addition, the high/low switch allows the input volume to be adjusted. In addition, the Fame Athena has been equipped with a "Color" sound filter that slightly raises the mids at the touch of a button, giving the guitar a more brilliant sound.
The second channel has a combo jack that can be used to connect a microphone or a second instrument via XLR. A line/mic switch provides the appropriate level adjustment of microphone or instrument. In addition to the gain control, a 2-band equalizer is available to the musician.
The effects section of the Fame Athena provides for the appropriate atmosphere. With the help of a four-step rotary switch the effects Reverb 1, Reverb 2, Delay and Chorus can be selected. The EFX level shows the intensity of the assigned effect, while the EFX pan control allows the effects to be assigned proportionally to the channels.
On the back of the Fame Athena an Aux In for connecting external devices and a Line Out for connecting active speakers or recording devices. In addition, external effects can be looped in via the send and return, while a balanced signal can be sent to a mixing console or recording device via the DI-out. Furthermore, the Fame Athens has a footswitch input for switching effects on and off, a tuner input and a headphone output. The Athena can be positioned on a tripod at the appropriate height via a 35mm speaker flange. Last but not least, a sturdy leather handle ensures comfortable transport, while the sturdy wooden housing made of multiplex glued together in multiple layers gives the amplifier a high-quality appearance.
