The Fender EXP-1 Expression Pedal is an extension volume or amp/effect adjuster pedal for Mustang III, IV and V amplifiers,as well as the Mustang Floor multi-effects unit.
You can select between Volume and Expression modes by simplystepping on the toe end of the pedal. The mode is indicated brightLEDs - Green for volume and Red for Expression. The EXP-1 controlsmost Mustang amp and effects parameters, such as the frequencyparameters of a wah effect and the rate/time parameters ofmodulation and delay effects.

Packing lots of expression options, from wah-wah to pitch shifting, when combined with Fender Mustang Series amplifiers it will give you endless possibilites of tone embellishment.
This pedal is for use with the Mustang amps. It functions as a volume pedal, as well as an expression pedal. It works through the Fuse software of the amp, where you can assign functions and set levels of whatever it is you are trying to control with the pedal. It is really functional.
The instructions in the box is inadequate. You actually need the detailed Mustang manual to get it going. Need to be a bit patient until its whole range is discovered (try and see).
Once you get how it works, it makes things quite interesting.
The pedal is made of some metal product. It feels cheap somehow.
I already had a problem with lamps (they stopped working) and I had to reset it, which resolved the issue.
Considering the fact that it can only be used with the Mustang amps, it is a bit expensive.
