Les Paul guitar in authentic Sixties style
With the Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s AAA Lemonburst, Gibson USA presents an electric guitar as part of the Original Collection that authentically captures the spirit and sound of the innovative singlecut models from the early 1960s. In addition to the mahogany body and an intensely grained curly maple top in AAA quality , the guitar has a "slim taper" mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard that sits comfortably in the hand. At the guitar amplifier, Gibson Burstbucker 61 pickups deliver typical vintage sounds with authentic PAF character, which can be adjusted via the hand-wired circuit with 'Orange Drop' capacitors. Last but not least, the Les Paul Standard '60s AAA Lemonburst from Gibson features Grover Rotomatic tuners and the proven setup of ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar.
Authentic '60s style in look and sound: The Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s AAA Lemonburst comes with a slim taper mahogany neck, AAA curly maple top and Burstbucker 61 Alnico V humbuckers.
In addition to the mahogany body without weight relief, the Les Paul Standard '60s has a glued neck with a "slim taper" profile.
Classic construction for the typical Les Paul sound
The construction of the Les Paul Standard '60s AAA Lemonburst naturally follows the historical specifications in order to achieve the unadulterated and powerful sound character. Accordingly, Gibson dispenses with a weight relief in the mahogany body, while the maple top emphasizes the dignified look of the guitar. With the pleasantly slim "Sim Taper" profile of the sixties, the glued mahogany neck also promises comfortable playing characteristics right up to the high registers of the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Gibson '60s Burstbuckers promise lively blues and rock sounds with a vibrant vintage PAF character.
'60s burstbucker pickups and hand-wired circuitry
The pickups chosen for the Les Paul Standard '60s are two '60s burstbucker pickups from Gibson, which provide an authentic PAF character with an accentuated mid-range spectrum and airy dynamics, and elicit harmonically resolved cleans and powerful Overdrive with singing Sustain from the guitar amplifier. n order to be able to precisely adjust the guitar sound, Gibson also relies on the classic, hand-wired 3-way circuit, which provides the popular Orange Drop capacitors for smooth treble roll-offs in addition to individual volume and tone controls for each pickup.
The "Open Book" headstock of the Les Paul Standard '60s carries Grover Rotomatics for stable and precise tuning.
Traditional Vintage-Style hardware
Of course, Gibson completes the Les Paul Standard '60s AAA Lemonburst with the traditional hardware equipment that more than fulfills professional demands on stage and in the recording studio. On the body, the strings are guided from the lightweight aluminum stopbar via the classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, which was developed by legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty to guarantee precise adjustment of intonation and string action. At the headstock in the coveted "Open Book" Style, a GraphTech nut also guides the strings to six Grover Rotomatic tuners, which combine high precision and tuning stability with classic Vintage-Looks.
I am delighted with my new guitar. It is exactly what I expected it to be. The finish and craftsmanship are nothing short of perfect. This is a quality instrument. Money well spent.

I have purchased Gibson before and was never impressed with the quality, however having restructured the company and going back to what they do best, the build quality is flawless! Not to mention the sound and play-ability, it's awesome!
The purchasing process with Music-Store was very easy and the delivery time was very fast!
