Korg’s KAOSSILATOR PRO+ brings greater possibilities to the the land of live performance. Not only is this a great sounding and and easily playable touch pad synth with a huge 250 sound presets including drums. There is also the inclusion of 4 loop banks which can each be set to 16 step measures allowing for further creativity and makes for the perfect DJ Tool to remix on the fly. Each bank will allow for overdubbing to enable unlimited possibilities and can be recorded via external sources via it’s line and mic inputs.
Creativity is nothing without functionality and the Korg KAOSSILATOR PRO+ lives up to both counts. A smart key and scale setting allows for fast input on the touch surface without the worry of entering a bum note. Whilst the optional note range function lets you set how broad the notes are played across the chosen key. The on-board gate arpeggiator means phrases can be quickly altered via a slider to suit the track you are building. If you decide that the tactile control of the Kaossilator Pro+ is needed in the studio then the USB connectivity allows you to turn this into a comprehensive midi controller, the connection also allows for easy control over data and settings from the included editor software.

But you dont need that if you have a Kaossilator. All you need to do is dance with your fingers.
You can go simple and create a beat less then a minute, or you can compose stuffs use by lots of layers and sounds.
Perfect for live performing.
My only problem with the one fix tempo. You must to give a tempo and all the loop phases repeated like that. That means you cant give different tempo to different banks, and it makes my job harder. It would be nice to have an option to create loops like how the looper pedals work. Those let you record what ever you want without any counting,
All together, its quick and easy to create your own beat. Without computer, without big and expensive drum kits. Put on the headphones and hit, without makes anybody else crazy.
