Make Noise MultiMod
Make Noise MultiMod in detail
Put simply, MultiMod from Make Noise turns one control voltage into many. You send any control voltage into the module and receive eight phase-modulated copies at different speeds. The result is a swarm of related modulation signals that are all derived from the same input signal. The module represents a new approach to complex modulation, perfect for patches in which many modulation destinations are to be animated simultaneously. PHASE sets the timing of the signal copies, weighted by channel, with each additional channel getting more out of the Phase of the original signal and out of the Phase of the other channels. SPREAD allows the copies to be accelerated to different values, with each copy becoming progressively faster or slower than the original signal. TIME determines the time range detected at the input and thus also the modulation depth between the copies of the input signal when Phase and Spread are manipulated. MultiMod also contains functions for tempo, hold and Reset as well as seven different read shapes, which are relevant for the temporal reshaping of the input signal. If no input signal is present, MultiMod generates an LFO that is copied eight times and manipulated in the same way. Thanks to the latest DSP hardware and high-resolution signal converters, MultiMod processes voltage ranges of up to +/-10V at all inputs and outputs, which far exceeds the typical 0-5V CV input ranges of most digital modules.
